POD dog boots are absolutely fantastic and made from diving wetsuit style neoprene fabric and wrap around your pets paws to keep them secure when enjoying their outdoor activities.  Available in three colours - Black, Olive and Slate Grey.  They are available in sizes XS, S, M, L, XL and XXL.

The larger sizes are for our bigger pets who dont fit the smaller sizes of our other active shoes, (Tippy Taps) so if these are too large for your pet see our other boots called "Tippy Taps".

PODs are easy to put on and strap around your dogs paws with double velcro wrap.  They are just as easy to remove and easy to clean just rinse in water after use.  Can be washed in a machine if needed. Perfect for dogs who have sensitive paws, allergies or injuries or who enjoy water sports, boating, hiking or the beach.  Great for protecting their paws from the scorching summer heat or the freezing cold ground and snow.  Reflective strip around the entire shoe for better night time visibility.  Be prepared for all weather conditions and all types of fun in a pair of PODs!  Perfect for Greyhounds as this style wraps around the paw so you typically go tight with your measurements unlike with other shoes.

See the size chart and recommendations on how to measure your pet's paws to work out the right size for your pet.  NOTE that a "pair" of shoes in this instance is actually 4 shoes, as your four-legged friend has 4 paws.  Note that we have not been able to source these shoes yet in size 3XL or XXS as listed on the size chart.

Also note that whilst you must measure and I can't guess or recommend what size would fit your dog as there is so much variation even within breeds, I have noticed that an average standard greyhound size seems to be size XL and a smaller sized greyhound with more petite feet than usual a size L.  My own dogs - Hendricks a medium labradoodle (15-18kgs) fits a size L as do other medium groodles who have purchased these boots, whereas my girls Olive (14kg) and Maple (10kg) wear size M as they are mini-medium labradoodles (sisters) one is larger than the other but M fits them both.  I have also noted that with the measurements there tends to be a trend to select a size larger than needed and there is significant size difference between the sizes.  So with these particular boots I don't recommend that you measure and go up a size if close as with other designs as they often can end up too big and you are best to go with the closest match possible.

If you get your PODs and they are the incorrect size please note that we are happy to exchange them for another size as long as they are in perfect condition as you received them and have not been worn or damaged and only tried on.  We however can't cover the postage costs for returns so we ask that you please do the following:-

First, email me to let me know you wish to exchange them but please purchase another pair in the size you want.

Send the incorrect size back to me, I will give you the best address to post back. Please give me a tracking number once you have posted it. I will resend you the new pair as per your new order.

Once the incorrect size is received I will refund you the cost of the first pair.

PERSONAL TIP

Note if you have a breed with long hair or your adventures entail lots of sand this can affect the velcros' ability to stick, I recommend that you get some long prong Kam snaps and put them on the edge of the main outside flap in a perfect custom position for your pets paws so that the flaps don't come undone whilst being worn.  Whilst they are pretty good, I've found this keeps them on my doods feet all day when we are at the beach, the dam or wherever and its really sandy and dirty. You must use extra long prong Kam snaps though that are slightly longer as standard Kam snaps will not work as they can not go through the thickness of the fabric.  I'd put them on for you but you really need to put them where it works best for your pets paws and this is an individual position. Once I added Kam snaps because my doods legs are furry this added another level of hassle-free boot wearing.

  • Machine washable on delicate cycle or just rinse as required and leave out to dry naturally.

To measure your dogs size grab a piece of paper and a pen and place your dogs paw on the paper.  Trace around the dogs paw and measure the widest point across the paw print.  Select the boot on the size chart that will fit your dogs paw at its widest point.

Note the chart measurements are the "inside fit" of the boots and for this particular type of shoe it is recommended that you go close to the size of the dogs paw not up a size as in other shoe styles.  Always measure your dog for the correct fit.

We are stocking currently sizes M, L, XL and 2XL.

The chart below shows measurements in cms only but gives both length and width.

    SIZE  INNER LENGTH WIDTH
    M 5.2cms 4.3cms
    L 6cms 5cms
    XL 6.8cms 5.6cms
    2XL 8cms 6.5cms
    3XL 9cms 7.4cms

NOTE sizing is not standard so you must always measure your dog to find out the correct size.

  • Q: Can I try on the products from Hendricks and Maple on my pet?
A: YES, however we are not a physical store and are an online store. We do however currently attend the local market once a month where you can see, touch and try on all of our products on your pet. This market is held the second sunday of each month in Blackheath, NSW, Australia on the corner of Gardiners Crescent and the Great Western Highway, Blackheath NSW in the local park. It is an all weather pop-up style market and dog friendly so bring your dog and if you can't bring their measurements!
  • Q: How do I measure my pet?
A: It is very important to note that pet sizes are NOT standard - so one item in a size medium will not be the same as another product in a size medium. So you absolutely must measure your pet correctly to ensure that you get a good fit for your pet. On all of our listings for each product we include a size chart with all the measurements for your reference. Make sure that you have your pet's measurements noted down and recorded so you can refer to them for any product you are purchasing and then you only have to do it once. The neck measurement is always as you'd expect around the neck where the collar typically sits. Add 1 or 2 fingers in the measurements here for your pets comfort. For the chest measurement it is BEHIND the front legs, at the widest part of their chest and again you want to add in a finger or 2 (or 3cms or so) additional space to your measurements for the pets comfort. Back Length is typically from the collar position to the tip of the tails beginning at the rump. Front measurements would again typically be from the collar and under the chest and belly down the middle. The purpose of both back and front length measurements are just so you can check if something is too short or too long for your pet or as with the front - if a male - they will end up weeing on it if it goes too long for them in the front. The other measurement is the face girth measurement - used typically to determine hats, snoods and cap sizing. This one is around the face, at the widest part. Again on all size charts there is a diagram to show you exactly how and at which point to take the measurements. You want to make sure that your pet isn't too close to the edge of the range, or if they are, that this will be ok for them. However you are always usually best to go up a size if this is the case (if there is a larger size). All of our harnesses are adjustable at BOTH the chest and the neck points to get a better fit and particularly difficult body shapes that perhaps have large chests but small necks like Dachshunds, French Bulldogs, Spaniels, etc. The other thing to note with measuring is if the products states that it is a snug fit, or has a lot of stretch for example. This sort of detail would be important if your pet has restricted movements or limited ability - such as a fleece snug - or you think your pet can "just" fit the largest size available - if it stretches a bit - such as in the case of a chunky knit sweater for example. Shoes are the other measurements, and they can be a bit tricky to get correct. Typically they are measured by placing your pets paw on a piece of paper (they need to "stand" on the paper and put pressure down on it as their paw will then spread out a bit as it will when they are walking. Trace around their paw and measure the widest point horizontally for the width and the other way (vertically) for the length. For any product you are looking at to size with your pet make sure to reference the size chart provided in the listings and ensure you have measured your pet correctly, as per the diagram in the size chart shows you, and added a few extra cms to each measurement if neck and chest measurements (not to any others) so that you pick a size that will be comfortable. If you are still in doubt feel free to reach out and ask us, giving us your measurements and we will do what we can to assist you select the best size.
  • Q: I want to get a gift for a friend but don't know their pets measurements, what is the best thing to do?
A: Purchase an eGIFT CARD for any amount and no expiry! Definitely the best option, you can select how much you wish to gift and send it via email on a date of your choosing, so for example if its a birthday gift - you can have it emailed on their birthday! They can then go online and choose the products that they like, check the sizing for their pet and purchase online. They can then redeem the eGIFT CARD amount at checkout. This allows them to get the right size and the products that they really want as well of course add more $$$ to the total amount if they wish too as well. Its also perfect if you're gifting for someone that is on the other side of the world or on the other side of Australia too as we will post out their order to them directly, with no prices listed on any of the products, wrapped beautifully, so when they receive it - it will be just like being handed a gift by you.
  • Q: Is everything in your online store made in Australia?
A: NO, we have items made from all over the world in our store, some in Australia and some by me personally! We also have our exclusive designs and have our products professionally made for us here at Hendricks and Maple to ensure they meet safety standards and very high end quality finishes and styling. I also keep a look out for cute curated products too and we make them available in our online store as well. I aim for both fashionable, high quality and gorgeous products that are affordable luxury for your pet. Sometimes they are practical, sometimes they are pure fun! But they are always FABULOUS!
  • Q: Can I purchase your products anywhere else?
A: NO, currently we do not have any stockists of our products and everything is available online through our website and we ship worldwide, so there isn't anywhere you are that we can't get your goods out to you. If you would like to stock Hendricks and Maple's products in your own store, send us an email to discuss.
  • Q: Can I return or exchange a product purchased from Hendricks and Maple?
A: YES, as long as it is unworn, undamaged, and in "as new" condition, we are happy to exchange or refund your purchase. However, we cannot cover the shipping costs for this. We ask that you, in the first instance, contact us to discuss your exchange or return request and we can provide you with a return address to send the product back to us. If for example you have purchased the incorrect size and wish to exchange it we will check at this time that we also have it in stock, keep it aside for you and can arrange to cover postage to send it out to you and any price differences. Typically the easiest way to do this is for you to purchase the item in the correct size again and we will ship it out immediately, then once your return is received we can refund it. Our goal is to ensure you and your four-legged friend are completely satisfied with our affordable luxury products.
