Soft Luxury Polar Fleece "Tankies"
Soft luxury Polar Fleece Tankies are specifically designed for your longer bodied hounds such as Dachshunds, Whippets and Greyhounds. Did you know the 5 dogs that top the list of the breeds that really need extra warmth in winter and you really should be making sure they have coats, jumpers and jackets the most are Chihuahuas, Dachshunds, Italian Greyhounds, Whippets and Greyhounds. Our Tankies are for these breeds (for a Chihuahua see our XXS Snugs instead).
Everyday wear must haves for winter, these luxuriously super soft polo neck fleece tankies are great quality and perfect to keep your hound comfortable and warm whether they're just chillin' on the lounge, playing in the yard or heading out for a walk about town. Complete with beautiful chenille and embroidered Hendricks and Maple logo detailing on the side and beautiful back chenille and embroidered patches, these tops are not only functional but fantastic.
PLEASE NOTE the TANKIES are for long body dog breeds like dachshunds, whippets, greyhounds, sighthounds and Lurcher Breeds and typically will not be suitable for other standard size breeds as the body shapes are different not just longer. If you do not have a Dachshund, Whippet or Greyhound or Sighthound we do not recommend you buy one of these tank tops as they will most likely be unable to even get into them. They do not have sleeves so leg length is not a problem with the Tankies and they fit short-legged or long-legged longer bodied hounds alike. Our only exception would be the size XL which is the only Tank that opens up completely at both sides from the arm holes down so that you can pop the tank over your dogs head and do up at both sides with snaps, this size may fit lots of other breeds not just Greyhounds. All other sizes do not open up at the sides are like a snug fitting tank top so you need to make sure that they will fit your hound.

Our slim tankies come in five sizes, X-Small, Small, Medium, Large and X-Large. Typically an XS/S size would fit Miniature Dachshunds, the M for Standard Dachshunds and small Whippets and L for larger Whippets and Small Greyhounds and XL larger Greyhounds as a guide but be sure to measure first and take note of the front and back length measurements. Note these measurements are the front length and back length of the TANKIE (not your hound) and they do NOT include the neck cuff in the measurement. If you have a male hound ensure that the front length is not too long for them (ie check they won't pee on the Tankie if its too long in the front).
Always allow a few extra cms for comfort in your measurements when determining the best size and if in between sizes go the size up as these are a snug fit. Also please note that all our SNUGS and TANKIES are handmade so there can be some slight variation in the measurements but this is always very minimal.
Currently we have TANKIES in Five fabulous colours/designs - Olive green with red and white mushrooms, Rust with our bronze Hendricks and Maple leaf on the back, Shiraz with an extended (of course) balloon dog, Black with a hot dog and Mustard with Cactus embroidered patch. Note many of our SNUGS and TANKIES match our printed neoprene harness designs which also fit Dachshunds and you may need to check sizing to determine suitability for Whippets or Greyhounds with the harnesses but collars, leashes, poop bags and bows and bandanas will also fit these breeds.
PRODUCT INFO & CARE
Machine washable super soft polar fleece tankie. This fabric is so thick and soft, best washed on gentle cycle and left to dry naturally. If your top also has embroidered patches most of these are a mix of chenille and cotton thread embroidered combination and should be handled with care. Do not bleach, do not tumble dry, do not iron. Fabrics may fade over time. Made from natural and synthetic fibres. Some fabrics and yarns are delicate. Polar fleece will burn if ironed.
Measure your pet to ensure best fit.
Different designs and manufacturers have different sizings so always measure your dog for the perfect fit for the product you are buying. You want to measure your dog around the neck and chest points (behind the legs at the widest point) and must allow an additional few cms (slip 3 fingers widths in when measuring) at each of these points for your BOWs comfort. You also want to measure your dogs back length and check the jumper length is suitable for your hound.
Only size XL for greyhounds or lucher breeds opens up at both side seams and fastens with snaps. All the other sizes require your hound to physically fit into them like a tshirt.
EXCHANGE & REFUND POLICY

Refunds are only provided on items that are faulty or incorrectly supplied. You can obtain a store credit for incorrect sizes or change of mind purchases within 30 days of purchase if the goods are in the same condition as received with all tags and labels still attached, in the original packaging and unused. Unfortunately we cannot cover postage costs for returning these items and any store credit will not include shipping costs as they are not refundable.
Before returning any goods to us for either faulty or incorrect items, refunds, exchanges or change of mind purchases please email us at hendricksandmaple@gmail.com with your name, order number and invoice number and date purchased with photos of the product within 7 days of receipt for faulty items and within 30 days of purchase for incorrect sizing/change of mind and we will reply to you as soon as possible to resolve the situation. Please don't just send products without speaking with us first.
For faulty goods please provide photos of the problem and we will discuss returning the item to us for inspection. We will send a replacement to you (or refund if no stock is available) once your refund is approved. All goods are checked prior to sending that they are not faulty and will arrive to you in great condition. If something is missing from your order please contact us immediately.
If you have ordered an incorrect size or have change of mind we will do our best to exchange the item for the size you require, stock depending, or exchange for a same-priced product however we can not cover postage expenses and you will need to return the item back to us for processing first at your expense before we can issue an exchange. The item must be in the condition it was received with all tags and labels still attached, in original packaging and unused to be approved for exchange. Please email us first within 30 days of purchase to discuss before returning.
We will exchange your item for another size if approved or if we do not have stock exchange for another same-priced product. In some circumstances we will give you a store credit. Shipping costs will not be covered in a store credit or exchange agreement however as these charges are not refundable.

SIZE CHART - FLEECE TANKIES (LONG THIN BREEDS)
Our polo neck slim tankies are for the more longer and thinner breeds - Dachshunds, Whippets and Greyhouhds and do not fit other breeds so do not purchase just because you want a longer length as they will not fit other breeds. They come in 5 sizes from XS - XL. These luxuriously soft polar fleece tanks are a very snug fit with extra wide armholes, they are super thick and therefore there is no stretch in the fabric at all. Designed for cold climates where you need to keep your hound warm and snug, they are a tight fit so go up a size if close to the end of the measurement range. Measure your hound before purchasing and allow additional room for comfort. Note only size XL Tankies for Greyhounds open up at both side seams with snap fasteners the other sizes fit like tshirts.

If your pet is a standard breed these are not the best options for them and are most likely going to be too long on the body and too tight in the chest and you should look at the standard breed fleece snugs instead - same thick gorgeous luxuriously soft polar fleece fabric and colours just the shape and fit for standard types of breeds.
Typically we find that sizes XS fit small Miniature Dachshunds, Size S fits the average Miniature Dachshunds and M fits most Whippets and L smaller Greyhounds and XL larger Greyhounds.
This is a guide though only and you really should measure your hound specificially and if inbetween sizes go up a size. They will not fit every hound.
